L'éléphant bleu

L’éléphant bleu (1972)

As part of the Art Brussels fair, Banque Belfius is offering in the Belfius Lounge an exhibition “Inspiring / Inspired : Women in the Belfius Art Collection”, a series of works specially selected for Art Brussels. The woman, on the canvas and behind the canvas, is the starting point of a journey that associates significant works that give rise to new conversations, between men and women, between model and artist, between the society of yesterday and today and finally between modern and contemporary art. Among the works of female artists, “L’éléphant bleu” by Evelyne Axell (1972) is again exposed to the public after seven years of absence.

On the stand side, in the “Rediscovery” section, Galerie Antoine Laurentin (stand C44) presents three works by Evelyne Axell, “La fille de feu”, “Kiss me” and “Le homard amoureux 2” as part of its current exhibition “The 60′ & 70′ in Belgium” which will continue after the fair until 17 June 2018 at the Brussels gallery.
